PERSONAL DETAILS

My Sign: Capricorn

My Pets: Gus!!

Favorite Artist/Band: Pink!!!!!!!

My career started at the age of 16 when a call to request a song turned into a radio internship. Within a year, I was on the air and on my way. Through the years I’ve made stops in Greenville/Spartanburg, SC; Fredericksburg, VA; Tulsa, OK; Terre Haute, IN; and Springfield, MO before arriving in KC! Those are some of the professional facts about me, but there is much more to know!

I dreamed of being a Broadway star as a kid, and even went to a fine arts high school (think Fame!) I laugh often doing my “job” and I laugh VERY loud (so I’m told). I’m a little obsessed with all things true crime, love a good happy hour on a patio, and I’ve become a HUGE Chiefs fan since arriving in KC almost 10 years ago. (I use to refer to Travis Kelce as my pretend boyfriend on air, but now he is engaged and I’m 5 years in with a man I adore!) The most important role in my life though was and still is being a mom to my amazing 19 year kid!

Learn more about Natalie Rush!

First concert you ever went to?

Reba McEntire… My dad was IN LOVE with her, so I learned all her songs so I could sing them to him. He surprised with tickets to her one of her concerts in the 80s.

Something listeners would be surprised to know about you?

My first dream was to be on Broadway someday. I started in community theater in my early teens and was even accepted into a Fine Art High School (like Fame!) BUT, I stumbled into radio when I DJ said I had a good voice and should do an internship. I signed up and here I am 32 years later still on air.
